DIVA - Ferdinand Metz
Ferdinand is a big fan of all kinds of different art movements and drawing styles. His 'dolls' are a great inspiration for him in much of his work. In the work DIVA he portrays his most flamboyant of the bunch. These dolls are like family to Ferdinand. He dresses them, he takes family portraits. They give him confidence and a safe feeling and he takes them everywhere. Ferdinand often travels all over the world and his puppets do not stay at home. He even takes more clothes for them on these trips than for himself!

These limited edition socks are part of a unique collaboration between Kunstsokken and REAKT, an organization within the mental health care sector that helps people with a psychological or addiction background through creative and therapeutic projects. Together we selected three works of art, including this work by Ferdinand, and translated them into our socks.
